Russian figure skater Alexandra Trusova became the first athlete to complete five quadruple jumps.

During the free program at the Olympic Games in Beijing, Trusova jumped a quadruple salchow, a quadruple sheepskin coat, a quadruple loop and two quadruple lutz. She scored 177.13 points for her performance.
After Trusova, Japanese Kaori Sakomoto performed in the free program, she is still on the second line. Russian athletes secured their place on the podium.
