The court of the Nenets Autonomous Okrug toughened the sentence of Ivan Zhdanov's father Yuri and sentenced him to three years in prison. This was reported by Zhdanov Jr. on his Twitter.
Yuri Zhdanov was given a tougher punishment, replacing three years of probation with a real one. “Why they changed the sentence, they didn’t say, there is no motivation yet. When we get it, the motives of the court will be clear,” Vladimir Voronin, Yuri Zhdanov’s lawyer, told Novaya Gazeta.
The lawyer specified that the defense would appeal the court’s decision in cassation. “The decision of the court is disgusting and cannibalistic. Yuri Pavlovich continues to be held hostage because of his son’s activities — what could be meaner,” Voronin said. » alt=»» />
