WASHINGTON Feb 16 The US is considering a slew of sanctions against those close to Russian President Vladimir Putin, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said. «A number of sanctions are being considered against his inner circle,» she said. At a White House briefing, she was asked if the US could impose sanctions on the Russian president's entourage to support opposition figure Alexei Navalny. The day before, a new trial of Navalny began in Moscow, who is accused of fraud and contempt of court. He does not plead guilty.
