BEJING, Feb 18 American figure skater Timothy Leduc became the first non-binary athlete in history Olympics. On Friday, LeDuc and Ashley Cain-Gribble competed in the pairs short program at the Beijing Olympics. The figure skater declared his non-binary gender identity last year. In January, Leduc and Kane-Gribble became US champions and qualified for the 2022 Games in Beijing. Non-binary people do not classify themselves as «male» or «female». Some of them prefer to be addressed using the pronoun «they».
