MOSCOW, Feb 17 The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) confirmed that trimetazidine could get into the body of the Russian figure skater Kamila Valieva because of the medicine her grandfather takes. This is stated in the motivational part of the court decision published on the CAS website. Valieva's doping test dated December 25, 2021 gave a positive result for trimetazidine. The Court of Arbitration for Sport allowed the skater to participate in the individual Olympic tournament in Beijing, but postponed the award ceremony if Valieva gets into the top three, until the end of the investigation.
