BEJING, Feb 18 Goalkeeper Ivan Fedotov will take his place at the gates of the Russian national team in the semifinal match of the Olympic hockey tournament in Beijing against the Swedish team, according to the Russian Ice Hockey Federation on Twitter.
The meeting will take place on Friday and will start at 16:10 Moscow time. Fedotov will play the fifth match in the starting lineup of the Russian national team at the Olympics.
The lineups of the current Olympic champions for the game with the Swedes are as follows:
first: defenders Nikita Nesterov, Alexander Nikishin — forwards Andrey Chibisov, Vadim Shipachev (captain), Kirill Semenov;
second: Alexander Yelesin, Egor Yakovlev — Nikita Gusev, Vladimir Tkachev, Arseniy Gritsyuk;
third: Sergey Telegin, Vyacheslav Voinov — Anton Slepyshev, Pavel Karnaukhov, Dmitry Voronkov;
fourth: Damir Sharipzyanov — Sergey Plotnikov, Sergey Andronov, Mikhail Grigorenko, Artur Kayumov.
Timur Bilyalov announced as the second goalkeeper.
