Miles' two-hour video has been viewed over 100,000 times already.
A video has surfaced on social media showing Meta (formerly Facebook) growth manager Jeren Andrew Miles admitting to texting a man who introduced himself as a 13-year-old teenage boy. The 35-year-old Californian allegedly planned to meet with a minor at a hotel where a group of investigators interviewed him, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Focus.
On February 18, Andy Ngo, an American journalist and editor of The Post Millennial, published a video with confessions of Jaren Miles, development manager of Meta, on his official Twitter page. «Hunt» organized by the initiative group «Indianapolis Predator Catchers», which conduct investigations on YouTube, preventing possible pedophiles from meeting underage victims. Team members correspond with adult men on behalf of children, and then come to meet them instead of a fictional child.
In the hotel room where the meeting with the teenager was scheduled, a team of «Indianapolis Predator Catchers» was waiting for the man. A group of anti-pedophile activists met with Miles at the Le Meridien Columbus hotel in the Ohio state capital. The two-hour video with Miles has already been viewed over 100,000 times. During the broadcast, he admitted that he sent (in his opinion) a 13-year-old boy sexual messages. Jeren Miles also said that he was just flirting and did not want to meet, and that he did this for the first time.

An activist questioned Miles about one of the messages that was addressed to a teenager:
-«I won't hold back when I will be excited». What do you mean?
-I flirted with him. I played with him. But at the same time, I never had the slightest intention of meeting him.
«But you arranged this meeting, didn't you?» You organized it.
-But I wasn't going to go for it. I gave him the information, gave him the address… that is, yes.
-You arranged this meeting with him. So it's okay for you to talk online about sexual topics with children if you don't date them?
-I've only done this once.
Jeren Miles was on the board of directors of the «Equality California» LGBT community until February 18, which works to protect the civil rights of sexual minorities. The community website has already published an official statement regarding the situation:
«We learned about these allegations when they were published by a journalist on Twitter. «Equality California» expelled Jeren Miles from the board of directors».
The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that a spokesperson for Meta (formerly Facebook) also commented on the incident:
«The seriousness of these allegations is impossible overestimate. The person no longer works for the company. We are actively investigating the situation and are currently unable to provide further comments».
Jeren Andrew Miles himself has deleted his accounts from Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and Linkedin.
