BEIJING, Feb 19 Slovak men's ice hockey team defeated Sweden in the match for bronze at the Olympic Games in Beijing. The meeting ended with a score of 4:0 (0:0, 2:0, 2:0). As part of the winners, Juraj Slafkovski (24, 59 minutes) scored a double, Samuel Takacs (33) and Pavol Regenda (59) also scored. For the Slovak ice hockey team, this is the first Olympic medal in history. Previously, the best result of the national team was the fourth place at the 2010 Games in Vancouver. Swedish hockey players were left without Olympic medals for the second time in a row. The teams of Russia and Finland will meet in the final of the hockey tournament in Beijing. The match will take place on February 20, beginning at 7:10 Moscow time.
