MOSCOW, February 21 Serbian Novak Djokovic said he would be the first to congratulate Russian Daniil Medvedev if he comes out on top in the rating of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). According to the ATP rating updated on Monday, Medvedev, who is in second place, has reduced the gap from Djokovic. Now they are separated by 440 points, the previous week the gap was 1240 points. «Everything is in his hands. He deserves to be number one. Eventually it will happen. If it happens this week, I will be the first to congratulate him» , — the ATP website quotes Djokovic. Djokovic has not yet taken part in tournaments this season: in January, the Serbian could not enter the Australian Open — 2022 after the cancellation of his Australian visa and subsequent deportation. This week the Serb will take part in the ATP 500 tournament in Dubai. Medvedev will play in a tournament of the same category in Acapulco (Mexico).
