The Oktyabrsky District Court of Novosibirsk recovered 3 million rubles from a local deputy and video blogger for the work of security forces for actions in January 2021. This was reported by «Apology».
The court recovered 3,024,877 from city council member Anton Kartavin and blogger Timur Khanov. Of this amount, 13 thousand rubles will be used to compensate for fuel costs, another 3 million and 11 thousand rubles for police overtime.
During the action, Kartavin and Khanov were serving administrative arrests for organizing a rally (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) .
This is not the only lawsuit filed by the Interior Ministry for police overtime in Novosibirsk. The department also requires 2.8 million rubles for work on January rallies in support of politician Alexei Navalny.
The defendants are the ex-head of the local of Navalny's headquarters Sergey Boyko, former employee of the organization Elena Noskovets, assistant to deputy Kartavin Natalya Pozdnyakova, member of the Coalition 2020 Vyacheslav Yakimenko and former State Duma deputy Arkady Yankovsky.
After the winter rallies in support of the Navalny Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, lawsuits were filed across the country against the opposition for the work of the security forces at protests.
