Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov announced scenario of Russian aggression. He said that the threat level is high, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
According to him, Ukraine does not reduce the threat, its level is high, but the authorities forecast all scenarios, choosing tactics of behavior.
«Among others, we considered the scenario that the Russian Federation will literally try to encircle troops: from Brest to Taganrog, by land, on two seas and in the temporarily occupied Crimea. And indicate activity in the temporarily occupied part of Moldova, in Transnistria. It was also expected that against this background, the Russian Federation would arrange an aggravation in eastern Ukraine», — he said.
The Minister added that all this will be accompanied by other means of pressure: cyberattacks, mining of civilian objects, attempts to riot under various pretexts.
«The purpose of these actions — shake Ukraine from within, so that we change our political course and abandon the EU and NATO, and in the end we lose our independence. Now they are trying to implement this scenario«, — he said.
How many Russian troops are near the borders of Ukraine
Today, the Russian Federation units have 127 thousand people of the ground component, with marine and aviation components — 147 thousand, Reznikov said.
«We do not see a withdrawal and we are not talking about a decrease in the number (military, — ed.). Those parts that are now in motion can be returned to their previous places or transferred to another section», — he said.
