BEIJING Feb 22 New U.S. Indo-Pacific strategy to curb China, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said in a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken on Tuesday. Wang Yi stressed that the new version of the US strategy in the Indo-Pacific region, which calls China the main regional challenge, is aimed at containing China. «This is a clear signal about curbing China's development,» he said. The US's desire to contain China's development by using Taiwan to do so is a mistake, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi added. «The US attempt to include the use of Taiwan to control China in its regional strategy is clearly a false signal to contain China,» he said.
