LONDON Feb 22 London Mayor Sadiq Khan said the British capital is ready to host the Champions League final instead of St. Petersburg due to Russia's actions around Ukraine. «London is ready to host the Champions League final. Hosting the Champions League final is a privilege. If UEFA hosts the final in St. Petersburg, it will seem that we are rewarding this kind of aggressive action Putin's Russia,» Khan told LBC radio. Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, commenting on the holding of the Champions League final in St. Football Association (UEFA) previously stated that it is not yet considering the possibility of postponing the Champions League final from St. Petersburg due to the situation with the recognition of the sovereignty of the DNR and LNR.
