Recognition of the referendum in Crimea and refusal to join NATO are among the demands.
Russian President Vladimir Putin once again delivered ultimatums to Ukraine. According to him, for a long-term settlement of the situation, it is necessary that Kiev recognize the Russian annexation of Crimea and refuse to join NATO, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.
«These questions we discussed this during meetings with our European partners and, in fact, with our American partners, we also talked about this more than once. I don't think it was publicly announced, but I'll say it. Naturally, the question is what should happen on both sides or on the side of Kiev so that the situation, in our opinion, is considered settled in the long-term European perspective, and so that we can live in peace … Well, I will reveal this terrible — the first thing everyone needs to do is recognize the will of the people who live in Sevastopol and Crimea«, — Putin noted.
According to him, he does not understand what the decision on the results of the «referendum» in Crimea differs from the decision of the Kosovo authorities. Putin also stressed that the second requirement is that Ukraine itself refuse to join NATO and implement the idea of neutrality.
And the last, according to him, requirement &# 8212; demilitarization of Ukraine. At the same time, he added that the solution to the problem of Donbass has allegedly «become irrelevant».
