What weapons are available to Ukrainians.
Ukraine adopted a law on the use and circulation of firearms among the population. The bill was adopted in the first reading. preparation.
The document governs public relations arising in the sphere of the realization of the right of citizens and legal entities in Ukraine to civilian firearms, ammunition for them, as well as products structurally similar to weapons and ammunition, and determines the legal status of ownership of civilian firearms.
At the same time, the bill left for civilian weapons exclusively the niche of hunting and sports tools, for carrying which in a loaded form outside the hunting grounds or shooting ranges, criminal liability is provided.
At the same time, restrictions on possession relate to:< /p>
- smooth-bore short-barreled firearms designed to fire cartridges;
- threaded weapons with a caliber of more than 127 mm, if the speed of its ball flight exceeds 700 m/s;
- revolvers;
- long-barreled smooth-bore firearms with a caliber of more than 27 millimeters;
- attached rifled barrels for smoothbore firearms;
- armor-piercing, explosive or incendiary ammunition, as well as projectiles for such ammunition;
- munitions specially designed to enhance penetrating and impressive action.
