Medvedev threatened to revise relations with countries that have imposed sanctions

MOSCOW, February 26 Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev warned of the possibility of a final review of relations with the countries that have imposed sanctions against the Russian Federation. In addition, the deputy chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation predicted the consolidation of power, administrative elites and citizens due to sanctions, warning the West: «wait.» On Saturday, the European Union added Dmitry Medvedev, Mikhail Mishustin, Vladimir Kolokoltsev and Sergei Ivanov to the sanctions list. This is stated in a document published in the official journal of the European Union. As the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, said earlier, the EU restrictions will be the same as for other individuals on the lists: they relate to asset freezes. Russia launched a military operation to demilitarize Ukraine early Thursday morning, February 24. In a televised address to the Russians, President Vladimir Putin said that circumstances “require decisive and immediate action from us, the people’s republics of Donbass have asked for help.” According to the Russian leader, the entire responsibility for the bloodshed will be on the conscience of the ruling regime in Ukraine. He urged the Ukrainian military not to follow the criminal orders of the Ukrainian authorities, to lay down their arms and go home. Russia is a sign of political impotencePosted by: Daria Buimova
