NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warned Putin about the consequences of aggression

NATO is committed to providing more assistance to Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina to advance democratic reforms.

The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, said that Russia violated the founding act of the Russian Federation-NATO three times, and the agreement no longer works, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to RBC-Ukraine.

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that Russia has destroyed the peace in Europe and now the people of Ukraine are fighting for their freedom in the face of Russian aggression.

NATO calls for Russia to immediately stop this senseless war, withdraw troops from Ukraine and returned to the path of dialogue.

«The world is calling Russia and the Russian leadership to account. Russia is the aggressor, and Belarus contributes to this. President Vladimir Putin has decided to invade Ukraine and this is a terrible strategic mistake for which Russia will pay dearly,” said the NATO Secretary General.

He added that Russia’s military operation in Ukraine would not enhance Russia’s strategic security. And the main goal of Russia is to change power in Kyiv. Russia is also seeking the withdrawal of NATO forces from Eastern Europe.

NATO intends to provide more assistance to Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina to advance democratic reforms.

NATO has deployed thousands more to the east of the alliance military, more than 100 aircraft in high readiness, more than 120 ships.

NATO and the EU intend to continue the policy of sanctions against Russia, even if this means losses for themselves.

NATO will continue to supply weapons to Ukraine, including air defense systems.
