SEUL Feb 28 North Korea said on Monday it conducted a research launch on Sunday on the development of a reconnaissance satellite, the Yonhap news agency reports. Earlier, the South Korean military reported that the DPRK on Sunday around 07.52 (01.52 Moscow time) launched one, presumably, a ballistic missile from the Sunan airport area in Pyongyang towards the Sea of Japan.
" ;The National Aerospace Technology Development Administration of the DPRK (NADA), together with the Academy of Defense Sciences, conducted an important test on Sunday as part of the development of a reconnaissance satellite,» the agency quotes from a report by the North Korean KCNA.
According to the North Korean agency, the test made it possible to check «performance and operational accuracy of high-resolution photographic equipment, data transmission systems». >In Seoul estimated the speed of the rocket launched by the DPRKAccording to Yonhap, the DPRK published a picture of the Earth taken during the test.North Korea conducted seven missile tests in January.
