MOSCOW, March 1 Kazan club of the Continental Hockey League (KHL) «Ak Bars» presented a new logo, according to the official website of the club. The new emblem depicts a white leopard on a shield in the form of a tulip, which is one of the main symbols of Tatarstan. It is made in traditional club colors with the addition of gray. The club will also introduce an alternative emblem in the form of a paw, the new corporate font includes Russian, English and Tatar languages. The new logo will be officially used from the 2022/23 season, while the coat of arms of the republic will still be located on the players’ uniforms on the chest. The team will finish the current playoffs with the current logo. The new emblem will be used by all teams in the system, which, in addition to Ak Bars, includes Bars (High Hockey League) and Irbis (Youth Hockey League). In the regular season of the 2021 season /22, which was completed ahead of schedule, Ak Bars finished fourth in the Eastern Conference. In the first round of the playoffs, the Kazan club will play against Avangard Omsk. The first match of the series will take place on March 2 in Kazan.
