MOSCOW, Mar 3 Discus thrower Nikolai Sedyuk suspended for four years for violation anti-doping rules, reported on the website of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA). The athlete was suspended for violating paragraph 2.1 of the All-Russian Anti-Doping Rules (presence of a prohibited substance or its metabolites or markers). The disqualification has been in effect since December 4, 2019. Also, karateka Alexander Aliev was suspended for four years (since December 10, 2019), runner Natalya Popkova was suspended for 3.5 years (since June 8, 2020). Sedyuk is a two-time champion of Russia, as well as a four-time silver and three-time bronze medalist of the national championships. Popkova finished third in the 5000m at the 2011 Universiade in Shenzhen, China.
