RYBINSK (Yaroslavl Region), March 6 Skier Alexander Bolshunov wins Deminsky marathon, which took place in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl region. Bolshunov covered a distance of 50 kilometers in 1 hour 44 minutes 3 seconds and set a new track record. The previous achievement belonged to the Olympic champion Evgeny Dementiev and was set in 2016 — 1 hour 45 minutes 2 seconds. The second place was taken by Gleb Retivyh, the third — by Raul Shakirzyanov. Biathlete Karim Khalili, who also took part in the start, became the fourth, Alexei Chervotkin — the sixth. Also in the top three were Ekaterina Smirnova and Maria Istomina. At the Beijing Olympics, Bolshunov won five awards — three gold (skiathlon, mass start, relay), silver (separate start race) and bronze (team sprint).
