MOSCOW, Mar 6 Norwegian biathlete Tiril Eckhoff wins the pursuit by 10 km at the World Cup stage in Finnish Kontiolahti. The athlete covered the distance in 31 minutes 40.8 seconds, making two misses on four firing lines. The second place was taken by the Italian Dorothea Wierer (+15.9 s; no misses), the third — the German Denise Herrman (+19.5 s; 3 misses). On Monday, the Executive Committee of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that sports federations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes due to the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine. After that, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) suspended Russian athletes from participating in competitions. The Russian Biathlon Union reported that it would defend the rights of athletes in court.
