MOSCOW, March 7 The Russian national team and the Polish team may be postponed by the International Football Federation (FIFA) to June, according to Interia Sport. Earlier, the press officer of the Polish national team, Jakub Kwiatkowski, said that FIFA had not made a final decision. On March 3, the RFU announced that it would appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the decision of FIFA and UEFA to remove the Russian national teams from participation in international tournaments. On Sunday, March 6, the CAS press service reported that the court had not yet received a lawsuit from the Russian side. According to the source, in Zurich, where the FIFA office is located, they are doing everything possible not to «lose Russia.» Among the ideas considered is the postponement of the Russia-Poland match to June. It is noted that the Polish Football Union (PZPN) is awaiting a final decision from FIFA on Tuesday, but the organization may wait for the CAS verdict. The games Sweden-Czech Republic, Scotland-Ukraine and Wales-Austria can also be postponed to June. The decision to exclude clubs and Russian teams was adopted by FIFA and UEFA on 28 February.
