Ukraine may receive fighter jets from NATO.
NATO countries received « green light» to send fighter jets to Ukraine, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Word and Deed.
This was announced by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.
«They have » green light,” Blinken said in response to a question whether the Polish government could send fighter jets to Ukraine.
“In fact, we are right now discussing with our Polish friends what we could do to satisfy their needs, if in fact they decide to provide these fighters to the Ukrainians. What we can do? How can we help make sure that they get something to replace the planes that they hand over to Ukrainians,” the Secretary of State added.
Recall that European countries were going to transfer 70 MiG-29 and Su-25 aircraft to Ukraine.
But later it became known that the EU countries changed their minds.
The White House said that the United States was working with Poland on the possibility of transferring fighter jets from Warsaw to Ukraine, and also holding consultations with other allies.
