The writer's foundation is going to provide Ukrainian children who suffered from the war with food, medicine and hygiene products.
The well-known British writer, author of the Harry Potter book cycle, JK Rowling, has raised one million pounds (about 39 million hryvnia — Ed) for Ukrainian children who suffered from the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Part of the funds Rowling made personally, part of the donations came through the charitable organization of the writer Lumos hygiene. Fundraising for Ukrainian children began on Monday, March 7th and is not yet closed.
«I will personally transfer donations up to £1 million. Sincere thanks to everyone who has already donated, you are enabling Lumos to do important work for some of the most vulnerable children in Ukraine», Rowling wrote.
