In Moscow, the police detained a 43-year-old man who left an anti-war inscription at a bus stop on Beskudnikovsky Boulevard. This was reported by the press service of the Moscow Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The police officers drew up a protocol against him under a new article on «publicly discrediting» the actions of the Russian military (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).
After the new article came into force on March 5, it was persecuted for «No to war» posters at picketers, «No to war» signs on bags, clothes, and in the snow. A priest from Kostroma was fined under this article for preaching against the war. For a repeated violation within a year, criminal liability is assumed.
