MOSCOW, March 13 The closing ceremony of the XIII Paralympic Winter Games has ended in Beijing. During the ceremony, a parade of athletes took place, after which the Paralympic flag was handed over to the Italian Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo, which will host the competition in 2026. Then the Games were declared closed by the head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), Andrew Parsons. The Games started on March 4. The medal standings of the Paralympics with 18 gold medals was won by the Chinese team, the second place was taken by the Ukrainian team, the third by Canada. However, the next day, the governing body of the IPC changed its mind and refused to Russians and Belarusians to participate in the Games, explaining this by the threat of a boycott by a number of teams.
