Mother Jones has published excerpts from its «Recommendations for Reporting Events», in which the media and commentators controlled by the Russian authorities are asked to actively refer to the programs of the leading American television channel Fox News, Tucker Carlson, in their arguments.
The 12-page document was given to journalists by an employee of one of the Russian federal media, asking for anonymity. The metadata of the document indicates that the file was created in the Department of Information and Telecommunications for Special Communications of the FSO; its authenticity has not yet been confirmed by other sources. The interlocutor of the publication explained that employees of the official media receive such recommendations regularly since the beginning of the war in Ukraine.

Russian television really often translates broadcasts of the ultra-conservative Carlson, who is sharply critical of the policies of Democratic President Joe Biden. Also, excerpts from recommendations published by Mother Jones say that “the special operation is developing according to plan”, “Russia stopped the nuclear apocalypse in the center of Europe and prevents the possibility of nuclear strikes on its territory”, and “The President identifies himself with every people of Russia and protects everyone.
