BELGRADE, Mar 13A car rally was held in Belgrade in support of the Russian special operation to liberate Donbass, RIA Novosti correspondent reports. Around 16:00 (18:00 Moscow time), a column of cars and hundreds of citizens with the flags of Russia, Serbia, as well as Belarus, the DPR and the LPR. Many unfurled banners in support of Russia, and the symbol Z was applied to the bodies and windows of cars. Then the column moved to the city center. Serbian, Russian and Soviet songs sounded from the speakers, in particular, «Katyusha».A rally in support of Russia took place in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Then the participants of the action moved past the main square of the Republic along the main street of the Land of Milan and lingered at the monument to Nicholas II Romanov opposite the residence of the president and administration of Belgrade. The column crossed the Sava again, passed through the densely populated areas of Novi Beograd and Zemun, and returned to the center of the building of the Russian embassy. «Serbs and Russians are brothers forever!» — the participants of the action chanted at the walls of the Russian diplomatic mission. According to the agency, one of the organizers of the rally, co-founder of the Serbian union of martial arts «Svibor» Marko Radulovic, over a hundred cars gathered at the event. «We wanted and had to express support for Russia, its leadership and people. We it was simply impossible to forbid it, we are with you! — he said. The column was accompanied in places by traffic police cars, passers-by watched the action with interest, expressed support with gestures and remarks, many filmed what was happening on video. The rally lasted about three hours and passed peacefully. The participants of the previous action on March 4 gathered at the monument to Nicholas II across the road from the residence of the President of Serbia. Among the organizers were members of the «Obraz» movement, bikers from the «Night Wolves of Serbia» motorcycle club, representatives of patriotic movements and ordinary citizens. The participants first blocked Kralja Milana Street, and after the performance of the anthems of Serbia and Russia, they unfurled a tricolor more than 20 meters long. They peacefully marched past the Belarusian embassy to the building of the Russian diplomatic mission, where they held a rally. On February 21, in response to the requests of the Donbass republics and after the appeal of the State Duma deputies, he signed decrees recognizing the sovereignty of the LPR and the DPR. Early on the morning of February 24, Russia launched a military special operation to demilitarize Ukraine. Putin called its goal «the protection of people who have been subjected to harassment and genocide by the Kiev regime for eight years.» According to the Ministry of Defense, the Armed Forces strike only at military infrastructure and Ukrainian troops.
