MOSCOW, March 16 Biathlete Eduard Latypov became Russian mass start champion at the Russian Championship in Ufa. The race took place as part of the Russian Championship and the Cup of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU). Latypov covered the distance of 15 km in 41 minutes 15.2 seconds and made two misses on four firing lines, the second was Daniil Serokhvostov (0.4 seconds back; 2 misses), the third was Karim Khalili (+26.7; 1). Victory the race was won by Belarusian Nikita Lobastov, who showed a result of 41 minutes 3.0 seconds and did not miss at four firing lines. The women's 12 km mass start starts at 11:30 Moscow time. At the competitions in Ufa, the awards are played in two categories: Russian athletes compete for the awards of the Russian Cup, all participants in the competition for the awards of the RBU Cup.
