MOSCOW, March 16 Volleyball player Dmitry Pashitsky signed a contract with the Polish Treflo , despite the current agreement with the St. Petersburg «Zenith». On Tuesday, the player appeared at a press conference in Poland in a T-shirt «Trefla». The president of the Polish club, Dariusz Gadomsky, told reporters that the player failed to “peacefully” terminate the contract with Zenit, and the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VVF) does not want to give consent for his performance in another country. Gadomsky said he would try to settle the «formalities» with the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). On Wednesday, «Trefl» in their social networks announced the signing of a contract with Pashitsky. As reported on the website of «Zenith», Pashitsky was recently injured in the match of the championship of Russia. The club went to meet the player and let him go on indefinite leave for self-treatment and solving personal problems. Zenit stated that they were surprised by the appearance of Pashytsky in Poland and at Trefla training, adding that his contract with the St. Petersburg club is valid. «Our club treated this problem with understanding and did not mind that the player would temporarily leave team. There were no attempts on our part to insist categorically that Dmitry would continue to fulfill his professional duties under the current contract. In this situation, we are surprised by the fact that Dmitry, firstly, appears at a press conference and at trainings in equipment of another volleyball club, and secondly, from the lips of representatives of this club there are words that Pashitsky's contract with Zenit has already been terminated. This is not true, «Pashitsky was born in Ukraine. In 2020, he received Russian sports citizenship. As noted by Zenit, Pashitsky stated that he «considers himself more Russian than Ukrainian.» In Russia, the blocker, in addition to Zenit, played for the Kemerovo Kuzbass.
