
MOSCOW, Mar 18 Spaniard Rafael Nadal takes first place in the history of the Association tennis professional (ATP) in terms of the number of victories on open courts in his career, he shares the record with the Swiss Roger Federer. Federer won 953 victories in matches held on open courts during his career. The 40-year-old Swiss has won 77 of his 103 singles titles while playing outdoors. Federer underwent two knee surgeries last year. The Swiss has not played a match since last July, when he reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals. It is expected that the ex-first racket of the world may return to competition in late summer or early autumn.
