MOSCOW, Mar 18 Rostov's Swedish striker Pontus Almqvist has suspended his contract with Russian club and will continue his career in Utrecht, according to the official website of the Dutch football club. The Swede will play for Utrecht under the 17th number. Almqvist became a Rostov player in October 2020. This season, the 22-year-old striker has made 19 appearances for the Russian club in all competitions. He scored 2 goals and made 4 assists. On March 7, FIFA allowed foreign players and coaches to unilaterally suspend contracts with Russian clubs and sign agreements with foreign teams until June 30. Legionnaires of Ukrainian clubs also received the corresponding permission.
