
MOSCOW, Mar 19 Ukrainian athlete Yaroslava Maguchy won the high jump at the World Indoor Championships in Belgrade. Maguchikh took a height of 2.02 meters, showing the best result of the season in the world. The second place was taken by the Australian Eleanor Patterson (2.00), the representative of Kazakhstan Nadezhda Dubovitskaya (1.98) closed the top three. Olympic champion, three-time world champion Maria Lasitskene did not compete due to the ban of the World Athletics Association (World Athletics). The organization banned Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in the tournament due to the situation in Ukraine. Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that international sports organizations not allow Russian and Belarusian athletes to compete.
