MOSCOW, March 20 Norwegian biathlete Sievert Bakken won the mass start at the final stage of the World Cup in the Norwegian Holmenkollen. He covered the distance of 15 km in 38 minutes 31.2 seconds, without allowing a single miss. Second place was taken by his compatriot Sturla Legrade (+0.5 seconds; 2 misses), the third went to the Frenchman Emilien Jacquelin (+13.4; 2). The Frenchman Quentin Fillon-Maillet, who previously won the big Crystal Globe, finished seventh (+48.4; 3). Fourth place was taken by the German Eric Lesser (+21.6; 2). This race was the last in his career for the 33-year-old biathlete. He has two silver medals at the Sochi Olympics and a bronze medal at the Pyeongchang Games. He is a two-time world champion, three-time silver and two-time bronze medalist of world championships. Also, the last race in his career was held by 32-year-old Swiss Benjamin Weger. Bakken won the personal race at the World Cup for the first time. Prior to this, the best result of the 23-year-old Norwegian was the third place in the mass start at the previous World Cup in Otepää, Estonia.
