
MOSCOW, Mar 21 satisfaction of the request of the Russian Football Union (RFU) to take interim measures in the form of postponing the play-off matches of the qualifying tournament of the 2022 FIFA World Cup with the participation of the Russian national team to a later date, the RFU communications service reported.
"Thus Thus, CAS denied all requests submitted by the RFU. Consideration of RFU claims against FIFA and UEFA will continue in essence in accordance with the terms and procedures determined by CAS", the RFU statement says.
Earlier, FIFA and UEFA published a joint statement, according to which Russian teams and clubs were suspended from participation in all international competitions indefinitely due to the situation in Ukraine. The RFU filed appeals with CAS against the decisions of the Bureau of the FIFA Council and the UEFA Executive Committee. Later it became known that the court refused the RFU's request for an expedited procedure for the consideration of the case, on March 15 — in a request to suspend the ban on the participation of Russian football clubs and teams in UEFA tournaments , March 18 — in a request to suspend the FIFA ban on the participation of Russian teams in tournaments under the auspices of the organization until the decision is fully appealed.
