MOSCOW, Mar 22 The National Hockey League Players Association (NHLPA) is trying to challenge trade of Russian striker Yevgeny Dadonov from the Vegas Golden Knights to the Anaheim Ducks, according to ESPN. According to the source, the deal could violate the no-trade clause that was included in the Russian's contract with the Ottawa Senators, concluded in October 2020. The agreement states that it cannot be exchanged until a list of ten “prohibited for exchanges” clubs, which includes Anaheim, is submitted. Vegas On July 28, 2021, Ottawa did not announce the existence of the list to either its new team or the NHL. The deal is currently being contested as the NHLPA has approached the NHL about its legitimacy. The 33-year-old Russian has played 62 games for the Golden Knights this season, scoring 15 goals and providing 12 assists. Dadonov's move to Anaheim was completed on the last day of the NHL trades. In return, “Vegas” received defender John Moore and forward Ryan Kesler.
