MOSCOW, Mar 23 Decision on changes to the Russian Premier League team rotation ( RPL) must be accepted after the conclusion of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), the owner of the Moscow Spartak, Leonid Fedun, told Match TV. On Tuesday, the clubs at the general meeting of the RPL voted to increase the number of teams from 16 to 18. together with the Russian Premier League (RPL) and the Football National League (FNL) to study the issue in more detail. «The decision has not been made, we must wait for the decision of the Court of Arbitration for Sport in May. Nobody knows what will happen in the future. They will or will not be excluded from the Union of European football associations (UEFA) or the International Football Federation (FIFA), we must proceed from this. If we remain in the football family, then we will think,» Fedun said. Earlier, FIFA and UEFA issued a joint statement, according to which the Russian teams and clubs would be suspended from participation in all international competitions indefinitely due to the situation in Ukraine. The RFU filed appeals with the CAS against the decisions of the Bureau of the FIFA Council and the UEFA Executive Committee. Later it became known that the court refused the RFU's request for an expedited procedure for the consideration of the case. On March 15, CAS denied the RFU's request to suspend the ban on the participation of Russian football clubs and teams in UEFA tournaments. On March 18, CAS denied the RFU's request to suspend the FIFA ban on the participation of Russian teams in tournaments under the auspices of the organization until the decision is fully appealed. On March 21, CAS refused to postpone the play-off matches of the championship qualification with the participation of the Russian team.
