On Monday, the FIDE ethics commission disqualified Karyakin for six months for supporting the Russian special operation in Ukraine. Due to the disqualification, Karjakin will lose the opportunity to speak at the Candidates Tournament, which will be held from June 16 to July 7. Later, on Sputnik radio, Karyakin said that he would try, together with like-minded people, to create a new organization as an alternative to FIDE. «As soon as I saw this news, I was immediately inspired by the idea of a talented chess player. meeting to discuss all the details,” Burlakov said.
