Three European top leagues have banned the signing of players from Russia

MOSCOW, Mar 24 English Premier League, Italian Serie A and German The Bundesliga banned the registration of players from Russian and Ukrainian clubs outside the transfer window, reports the Times. Earlier, FIFA and UEFA, due to the situation in Ukraine, allowed foreign players and coaches to unilaterally suspend contracts with Russian and Ukrainian clubs and sign agreements with foreign clubs until June 30 commands. A maximum of two such players can be signed by a single foreign club. According to the publication, Europe's three top leagues have made it clear that they will not accept any requests from such players on the grounds that it could «damage the sporting integrity of the competition.» At the same time, the Spanish La Liga allows clubs to sign players from these two leagues. It is noted that the decisions of the Premier League, Serie A and the Bundesliga infuriated the leadership of UEFA. What sanctions will be applied to these football leagues is not specified. Earlier, FIFA and UEFA issued a joint statement according to which Russian teams and clubs were suspended from participation in all international competitions for an indefinite period due to the situation around Ukraine. The Russian Football Union (RFU) filed appeals against these decisions with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
