MOSCOW, Mar 25 The International Football Federation (FIFA) may introduce the Russian language as an official organization, according to L'Équipe. According to the publication, the FIFA Congress, which will be held March 31 in Doha, will consider a proposal to introduce new official languages within the organization. To promote «a more representative approach to the languages spoken in member associations around the world», FIFA's leadership proposes adding Russian, Arabic and Portuguese to the list. At the same time, it is noted that the use of these languages will not be systematic. According to the FIFA statutes, the official languages are English, Spanish, French and German. Russian, Arabic and Portuguese are the languages of the congress.
