Verkhovna Rada decided to abolish all taxes and duties on car imports for individuals during martial law.
In Ukraine, customs payments were canceled when importing vehicles. For ordinary citizens, customs clearance of a car has become absolutely free. The corresponding draft law No. 7190 «On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and other legislative acts regarding the improvement of legislation for the period of martial law» was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to Focus.
The law is designed to ensure the operation of the economy of Ukraine during the war. To this end, almost all imports were exempted from taxes. This also applies to vehicles.
In particular, from April 1 until the end of martial law, all vehicles are temporarily exempted from VAT on imports by single tax payers of groups 1, 2 and 3. Naturally, the innovations do not apply to imports from the aggressor country.
In addition, individuals, that is, citizens, will also not pay import duties and excise taxes on cars and trucks, as well as motorcycles, bodies during customs clearance cars, trailers and semi-trailers, vehicles designed to carry 10 or more passengers.
