MOSCOW, Mar 26 Three-time Olympic medalist Japanese figure skater Shoma Uno wins World Championship, which takes place in Montpellier, France. In the sum of two programs, Uno received 312.48 points. The second was his compatriot Yuma Kagiyama (297.60), the American Vincent Zhou closed the top three (277.38). The Olympic champion and three-time world champion American Nathan Chen and two-time Olympic champion Japanese Yuzuru Hanyu missed the Montpellier tournament due to injuries. Earlier, the International Skating Union (ISU), against the backdrop of events in Ukraine, suspended athletes from Russia and Belarus from competitions under its auspices, including from the World Figure Skating Championships. Russian figure skaters will perform at the First Channel Cup on March 25-27 in Saransk. The competition will consist of a jumping tournament, as well as short and free programs.
