Levashova was found guilty of using violence against security officials (part 1 of article 318 of the Criminal Code). According to investigators, on February 24, during a rally in the vicinity of Pushkin Square, she threw «a bottle with a mixture of flammable and combustible substances» at the police.

Later, the Investigative Committee published a video in which Levashova apologizes for her act. Also included in the video is a recording of the incident: you can see how the girl throws a Molotov cocktail, but it is not clear in which direction. The bottle fell on a pedestrian crossing and did not break.

On February 25, the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow arrested the girl for two months, and three days later the Investigative Committee reported on the completion of the investigation of the case.
