An analysis of the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh shows that Azerbaijan is preparing the ground for new provocations and attacks against Nagorno-Karabakh, including accusing Armenia of destructive actions on the issue of a peace treaty, the Security Council noted. «In the current situation, the Security Council considers it necessary to confirm the previous position of the Republic of Armenia and invites the Republic of Azerbaijan to immediately begin negotiations on a comprehensive peace treaty,» the Armenian side said. The Security Council added that in order to prevent a new military escalation in the region and ethnic cleansing, international containment mechanisms.
