Kazakhstan announces agreement with Russia on vaccination passports

Kazakhstan and Russia may soon sign an agreement on the mutual recognition of COVID-19 vaccination passports, Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic Aizhan Esmagambetova said. «There will be an agreement between Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation. Now this draft agreement has come to us for approval… This is already an agreed draft agreement, official formalities remain,» she told journalists on Wednesday on the sidelines of parliament. Esmagambetova expressed hope that the document would be signed in the near future. «Since there is already an agreement, and it has come to us for approval, then, given the interest of both parties, I think this (signing — ed.) will be very fast,» she added.Popova urged not to calm down yet because of the coronavirus pandemic
