
TYUMEN, Mar 30 Daniil Serokhvostov won the 10 km sprint race at Russian biathlon championship, which takes place in Tyumen. He covered the distance in 24 minutes 51.7 seconds, with one miss on two firing lines. The second was Eduard Latypov (lag — 42.9 seconds; 2 misses), the third place was taken by Karim Khalili (+49.2; 1). Maxim Tsvetkov is in eighth place (+1.13.0; 0), Alexander Loginov finished 10th (+1.16.2; 2). Among the Belarusians who also take part in the tournament, the best was Dmitry Lazovsky, who took fourth place (+1.03.3; 0). In addition to Russian athletes, Belarusians participate in the tournament. Earlier, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from its competitions against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine, on Tuesday the international federation suspended the membership of the Russian Biathlon Union and the Belarusian Biathlon Federation. Later on Wednesday, the women's sprint race will take place. The Russian Championship will end on April 4th.
