
TYUMEN, Mar 31 Ekaterina Yurlova-Perkht and Maxim Tsvetkov representing the first Petersburg national team became the winners of the single-mixed double at the Russian Biathlon Championship, which takes place in Tyumen. They covered the distance in 36 minutes 46.6 seconds, making a total of 3 misses at eight firing lines without penalty loops. The second place was taken by the first team of the Tyumen region consisting of Victoria Slivko and Evgeny Garanichev (lag — 26.9 seconds; 0 penalties + 5 misses). The third place was taken by Tamara Derbusheva and Kirill Bazhin, representing the Sverdlovsk Region (+44.7; 0+4). Kristina Reztsova/Petr Pashchenko (KhMAO — Yugra) finished fourth, Larisa Kuklina/Rustam Kayumov (Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug) rounded out the top five .Russian Championship will end on April 3rd. The mixed relay will take place later on Thursday. Earlier, the International Biathlon Union (IBU) suspended Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions amid the situation in Ukraine, on Tuesday the IBU suspended the membership of the Russian Biathlon Union and the Belarusian Biathlon Federation.
