MOSCOW, April 1 Russian sports commentator and TV presenter Dmitry Guberniev spoke about the act Simon Fourcade in support of Russian biathletes. In a conversation with the correspondent of the «Championship», he thanked the Frenchman and explained why there would be no sanctions against him in his homeland.
"I also feel sorry for the Russian athletes. Simon Fourcade is great. Thank him very much. Fourcade will not have any problems because of this, because he lives in democratic France", the commentator shared his opinion.
The older brother of the five-time Olympic champion Martin Fourcade glued the image of the Russian flag to the wax booth at the World Championship among juniors, which took place in the USA in February. Signs with the flag of Russia have been removed from the wax cabin. This happened after the International Biathlon Union (IBU) adopted a relevant resolution.
