MOSCOW, April 1 Ukrainian Ambassador to Qatar Andriy Kuzmenko proposed to exclude Russian football union (RFU) from the International Football Federation (FIFA) at the congress of the organization. Earlier, the media reported on a possible discussion of the issue of exclusion of the RFU at the FIFA congress, which was held on March 31 in Qatar. Kuzmenko represented the Ukrainian delegation at the event. “I think they should be expelled from the organization,” Kuzmenko was quoted by the Australian TV channel ABC with reference to Al Jazeera. At the end of February, FIFA and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) published a joint statement, according to which Russian teams and clubs are suspended from participation in all international competitions for an indefinite period.
